The southern most course on the Waccamaw Golf Trail, Founders Club immediately impresses you with its striking beauty. Visible from Highway 17 is the par-5 9th hole as it runs parallel to Ocean Highway. It's both the oldest and the newest course on the Waccamaw Golf Trail. The new 18-hole, par 72 layout was constructed by former Gary Player lead designer Thomas Walker and opened in 2008. It was built atop Gene Hamm's original course Sea Gull Golf Club, which dated back to 1966 and was the fourth oldest course on the Myrtle Beach Grand Strand.
